Daniel and I keep going through this cycle of wanting a dog... and then not. We just cant decide if it would work with our lifestyle. (you know, work and school all day long)
Also, like everything else, we just cant seem to agree on what would be best.
Daniel hates small, yappy dogs
I hate super hyper dogs that jump on you
Daniel wants an outside dog
I think outside dogs stink worse than inside ones
Give me your input! what breeds do you have experience with? could we handle a dog?! Should we adopt a full grown(trained) dog or should we get an adorable puppy?
Daniel wants a big dog
I want a medium sized dog
One thing we DO agree on though, is the fact that dogs pee and throw up on your stuff, they are time consuming and they cost a lot of money. And if you get a puppy, then you have to train it. They also are a pain when you need to go out of town and you don't know what to do with them...
So after all those cons, do we REALLY want a dog? I mean, they are cute and loyal and it would make me feel more safe when I'm home alone. But is it worth it?
And then there's the question of what kind of dog to get.

Samoyeds are super cute as puppies and adults and they are very mild tempered, but can you say HAIR?! There would be a thick coat of white hair on everything in the house! oh, and then there's the fact that their tails curl up and you can always see their butt hole. I hate that.
Newfoundlands are nanny dogs!! (think Peter Pan) The puppies are adorable, adults are not quite as adorable, and once again, HAIR! They are also quite large.
Labs are the go-to dog. They are cute and friendly. But they are way hyper. Daniel's brother has a black lab that is out of control... I don't think I want one of my own.
A swiss mountain dog is cute, has short hair and they aren't too big. I don't know much else about them though.
There is a great pyrenees therapy dog that comes to the hospital every Friday. Shes such a gorgeous and mellow dog that I thought I might one one of my own. But by definition, a therapy dog must be clean, mellow, and friendly... who knows what mine would turn out like. plus, they are huge and hairy.

If you get a Samoyed thats a pure breed you have to make it a show dog or something. Jesse Hayes and his wife have one, you also have to clean their butts because when they poop it sometimes gets stuck in the hair. But they are super cute!
