drumroll please....

This is it! I wore it to church today :)

It turned out a little more poofy than I had anticipated, especially in the back
(but I guess that's normal for me...)

It has an elastic waistband in back and pockets!! I just love a full skirt with pockets.

I'm pretty proud of myself. I think I'll make one in every color...
what do you think? Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple! I would have a rainbow in my closet. Or.. maybe not. I think I'll try something else next.
I do have one idea in mind...

a little project

This is what Daniel got me for my birthday. It's exactly what I wanted :)

I finally got time to go to the fabric store and get some supplies. I started a project yesterday. I'm super excited about it because it is made of this:

For some reason I cant get away from black and white. Almost all my clothes are black and white. I know its boring, I just cant help it.

I know how to sew but I don't know much about sewing machines. I think I spent most of my time yesterday trying to get it to work properly and not get jammed. Either I'm doing something totally wrong or I got the lemon.
(It's a good thing Costco returns anything. Maybe I could try another one...)

But the project is almost done! I will unveil it tomorrow.

That is, if it turns out semi-decent.

Boys...

Two things that I've always appreciated about Daniel (don't worry, there are lots more than just two) are the fact that he doesn't care about football and doesn't watch sports on TV, and also that he doesn't waste his life away playing video games...
Well, so much for that!

We bought an xBox 360 from my sister a few months ago for the sole purpose of watching Netflix. We're totally addicted. (right now we're watching Bones! so good.)

Then, last week Daniel decided that he needed to buy a game for the xBox. As if he doesn't have enough hobbies already! Whatever... So we went to Game Stop at what must have been the busiest time because the line went all the way from the counter to the door.
Align Left
...and by the way, Game Stop has more gross, un-showered people than the DI does...

And that was that. He has stayed up till 2 am most nights since he got the game.

But I guess I can't complain. At least he's not out all night climbing large rocks

I just don't know what I'll do if he decides we need cable with all the ESPN channels. I think that's where I'll draw the line.

I'm not ready for this

We put an offer in on a house yesterday. Yes, a real house.
I'm quite literally freaking out. This house needs a ton of work. Part of me is really excited and the other part secretly hopes that they don't except our offer...
I'm torn.
I'm scared of big commitments.
And I hate waiting for an answer.

I just need to brag a little...

I've never been that great at writing. Especially compared to a friend like lois lane with all her expertise. That's why I saved my writing credit for the very last. Today I had my most recent paper returned to me with an A on it! The assignment was a 5 page argument about anything we wanted to argue. In the comments, my teacher called my paper 'masterful'

Hallelujah! It made my day :)
